The Sunday Morning Special! “Up From The Grave!: The Great End-Times Revival”

The Sunday Morning Special!

Does the Bible prophecy a great end-times revival of the Church? If so, how can we discern the difference between authentic revival and the counterfeit movements described in Matthew 24?

Join Monica Dennington in Session 3, as she goes straight to the words of Jesus Himself, for the definition of the word “revival”, and find out exactly the kind of revival we can expect in these end-times.

  1. I wish that this was the case…but 2 Thessalonians 2:3 to the end of the chapter says quite the reverse…..a great falling away…not a revival…

    • Brian, thanks for your comment. Indeed, in addition to 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12, Jesus also speaks of the end-times apostasy, or falling away, in Matthew 24:10-12:

“At that time many will fall away (from the faith) and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.”

But take heart – Jesus also goes on in the next chapter (Matthew 25:1-13) to talk about the end times revival in the parable of the Ten Virgins. Please watch the video for this teaching, you will be encouraged by this prophecy.

  2. Let’s first clarify that Monica’s teaching is not the revival being talked about in Joel chapter 2. That revival comes after the Great Tribulation and when Yeshua returns and begins His kingdom here on earth. There does seem to be a contradiction in Act chapter 2 when Peter quotes Joel’s prophecy. This is perplexing to me and could be the result of interpretation errors in the New Testament or we are missing something that clarifies what is written in Acts. For instance: if you check the original language you will find that Peter does not in fact start this segment with the words “But this is that which is spoken of by…”. Those words were added to the text. He may have been simply comparing the event to what will eventually happen in the future. I have not yet found out if the dead sea scrolls can shed light on this issue. However, I do agree with Monica that the revival she is teaching is accurate and for the once sincere and baptized body of Christ, even the ‘elect’. This revival is a call to perfection which many think is unnecessary for salvation. She is absolutely correct that we must be ready and go out to meet Yeshua at His call. We must pray together that all of us will be ready. I also agree that there is a great apostasy of the insincere believers who are filling the churches because they accept the false doctrines which cater to carnal desires and easy grace. The deception is extremely strong today. I have even found myself in past times being drawn into false doctrines that seem fully based on scripture. However God will immediately convict me when I begin to accept an incorrect doctrine and then must immediately repent to regain my peace. He always shows me why the doctrine is false. It seems most institutional religions are now the traps into which we can fall. It almost seems as if the institutions and those teaching Joel’s revival prophecy as a pre-tribulation event are setting up the uninformed to accept a false messiah which must come first before Yeshua arrives. I have been called to a one on one relationship with my Savior and have not been allowed by the Spirit to join any denomination in particular. Do you have any thoughts on this? PS I Love you guys! Thanks and blessings to Monica and Gary for their excellent ministry!
