An important decision is before the Supreme Court. In the days to come, the Supreme Court is expected to make a ruling on whether states have any right to resist the redefinition of marriage.

But the current definition of marriage comes from “Nature’s God”— the one who endowed them with “certain inalienable rights” in the first place.

Like Samson before his hair was cut, the Lord has given America strength and success. Also like Samson, the people of the United States have broken every other element of their covenant with God— except one.

Cutting his hair was the final straw that caused God’s Spirit to leave Samson. He became as weak as his enemies, who overtook him and gouged out his eyes.

Like Samson, America teeters on the edge of breaking the last element of its own covenant with God…the final straw.
